Essential Question:
How have Americans historically fought for their rights and identity and how does that struggle continue today?

Give a brief synopsis of the following:
  • The Great War
  • Women's Suffrage
  • The Great Depression

You will do this by creating a 6 slide Google Presentation
  1. Each slide needs to have an image/graphic and information pertaining to the topics above
  2. Make sure the information is taken directly from the pages above (560-561)
  3. The image/graphic has to be relevant to the information on each slide. 
  4. Make sure you cover ALL topics! 
  5. You can have more than 6 slides if needed.
  6. If you want to get ten points extra credit, you can pick one other important section to cover and create two slides for that section
  7. You will drop to my Google Classroom.

The American Dream 
Essential Question: How have Americans historically fought for their rights and how does that fight continue today?
American's have been fighting for their rights since first arriving on American soil.  They have been fighting for religious freedoms, land, money, etc. 
  • Now that we are in the early 1900's, we will revisit the American Dream and find out how it was perceived by people of this time period.  
  • Pages 562-565 (summarize the three assumptions that Americans have come to call the American Dream)
  • How is this American Dream different than that of the of the Puritans?  (1/2 page response required)
  • How did the Great War, Women's Suffrage and the Great Depression change the way American's viewed the "American Dream"?
